It is a project about their spaces, their material possessions, and how those objects silently tell stories about their owners. My project investigated the relationships between one's story and one's physical surroundings, between a photographer and his community, capturing those ideas in an architectural photograph that is akin to a portrait. My project investigated the relationships between one's story and one's physical surroundings, between a photographer and his community, capturing those ideas in an architectural photograph that is akin to a portrait. On beautiful rugged trails and remote locations, my comrades and I spend a mind-numbing amount of time training, route marching to nowhere in particular, waiting for a conflict that would never come.
